Causes of teeth stains are red wine, black tea, smoking, cola, gravy and dark juices. Best thing to do is brush immediately after eating or drinking.
Using and electric toothbrush is far more effective than manually brushing your teeth. Change the head of your electric toothbrush at least every two to three months. Gently move your toothbrush in a circular motion and don’t press too hard.
Don’t forget your tongue
Remove tongue plaque with a tongue scraper which will also help freshen your breath. A major cause of bad breath is bacteria on the tongue, which daily tongue scraping will reduce.
Eat firm and crisp food
Apples raw carrots, celery and popcorn are fantastic to eat at the end of a meal to help clean your teeth, especially if you know you won’t be cleaning your teeth straight after.
You can floss in your car (not whilst driving of course!), at your desk, in bed or anywhere for that matter. Get a few packs and put them where you can easily grab and quickly floss.
